24 Democrats declared to run for 2020 United States president. Four of them were not qualified to join the first Democratic debate of 2019, so only 20 candidates were present at the event on June 26 and 27 to express their ideas in Miami, Florida. The focus of the campaign issue of the two-night debate is that current U.S. President Trump is not qualified to run for the 2020 presidential election.

Among all the 20 candidates, voters were in favor of the debate performances of Kamala Harris (2), Elizabeth Warren (1) and Julián Castro (1), based on the poll of projects.fivethirtyeight.com. The number shown after their name was the night that the candidate joined the debate.

During the first round of the Democratic debate, 10 of the 20 candidates talked little about tax, or answered briefly; however, topics of job growth, health care, arms control and immigration were also reached. The debate had attracted 15.3 million TV viewers, said NBC.

The other 10 took their turn in the second round of debate. Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are the current leading candidates, whose policies were examined by the other candidates. The attacking of Senator Kamala Harris of California to Biden’s record had won great support for her.
