Americans are obviously enthusiastic about the tax plan proposed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren to hike the top tax rate up to 70 percent, which is favored by 45 percent of Americans but 32 percent against it.  

The idea to tax the rich was first talked about by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with Anderson Cooper in the TV program 60 minutes of CBS. According to the Morning Consult poll, 57 percent of public opinions express that the poor people are paying too much in taxes, and 58 percent of the public think that the middle class are also paying too much in taxes. Besides, 63 percent of the respondents say that the wealthy are paying too little.  

The public are in favor of using the revenue for such things as the universal child allowance or for the low and middle class instead of paying for social services.
