Business will Strike Due to the Outbreak of Coronavirus

As the outbreak of coronavirus, many international corporations announced the travel ban to China to reduce the risk to this infectious disease. 

 

Many global organizations have already announced a travel ban to China. Amazon is one of the companies that officially announce this notification. Based on Amazon’s spokesperson, Amazon does not allow any essential travel plan to China. Employees have to get the approval once they need to travel to China. Employees who return from China have to follow the guidance from CDC to stay at home for 14 days. During the 14 days back from China, employees who suffer from any symptoms should immediately seek the medical treatment. 

 

Besides Amazon, HSBC has the biggest market in China. HSBC also restrict all employees to Hong Kong for two weeks and they are not allowed to go to mainland China without any further notification. 

 

Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Disney, and Starbucks all have the similar travel ban to China. 

 

The virus outbreak also influenced the market in hotel groups and airlines. Since the spread of the virus, the airline depends on the latest situation to cancel the flight to China. The share price of British Airways lost 12%. Inn group Intercontinental Hotels decreased 10%.

 

Japanese economy expects to face the severe situation based on this coronavirus. Automaker Honda will confront the hard time of production slowdown because Honda has three factories in Wuhan, China. 

 

The latest official data from China reported that the market of China experienced the slowest economic grow in 29 years.
