The reality TV stars of the US, Todd Chrisley and wife Julie Chrisley, accused the head Georgia state tax investigator, Joshua Waites. Mr. Waites purposely manipulated his position to accuse Mr. and Mrs. Chrisley in tax evasion.

The reality TV couple accused that Mr. Waites attempted to get close to Todd’s estranged daughter, Lindsie Chrisley Campbell, to obtain their financial information. He also told her that their parents were under the investigation related to tax evasion. The couple reported Linsie and Mr. Waites had been texting for 18 months. Whenever Lindsie hesitated to reveal the information, Mr. Waites presented her parents tax information to gain her trust and to induce her to reveal the financial information to him.

Michael Bowers, former Georgia Attorney General, now serves in a private legal practice. He is leading a team to fight against Mr. Waites on behalf of The Chrisley family.

The case of Joshua Waites symbolizes the abuse of the public servants who misuse their power and violate rights to innocent citizens just in order to have more money to his office. Besides the violation of human right, Mr. Waits regularly manipulated the power of office to threaten many individuals or business to accuse them in the dubious tax evasion.

The lawsuit did not request any specific compensatory or punitive damage. However, the Chrisleys claimed they would like to donate their money received from this lawsuit to the Institute of Justice. This institute is mainly to offer a hand to the people who cannot afford to fight for their right.

Up to now, the Chrisleys are still confronting the charge for the evading of tax payment.
