Nike is one of the world's most influential brands. Its new shoes, the Air Max 720, cause dispute because the logo on the sole resembles Allah in Arabic.  Muslims deem it blasphemes the true meaning of Allah. Therefore, Nike was asked to recall the shoes. 

"Allah" is the name of God among Muslims. Above all, it is absolutely the sublime name for all Arabic-speaking people. The Air Max 720 of Nike shoes is too similar to the Arabic word "Allah". It causes great dissatisfaction among Muslims. Muslims deem that Nike blasphemes Allah and urge Nike to recall the shoes straightaway.

Saiqa Noreen, who initiates the signing, says the logo is on the soles. It will be certainly trampled, kicked and become soiled with mud or even filth. Until now, over 8000 people have signed the appeal. She also urges Nike to immediately recall all the blasphemous sneakers in the world. Nike responds: This Air Max logo is a stylized design of Nike trademarks and is used only for trademarks. Nike respects all religious beliefs and takes concerns of this nature seriously.
