The US Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on March 24th, accusing her of colluding with dozens of others, including her campaign, numerous campaign officials, former FBI Director James Comey, and the Democratic National Committee to fabricate a false statement in order to destabilize his government. He also continues to assert erroneously that his 2020 election loss to Democratic President Joe Biden was due to widespread fraud.
The lawsuit demands more than $72 million in damages, which is three times as much as the $24 million in legal expenses and other damages Trump claimed to have incurred as a consequence of the defendants' alleged conduct.
On March 25th, Clinton's spokesman made a witty one-word comment about Trump's suit: “Nonsense.”
