In the early morning of June 2nd, a nine-year-old girl in the driver’s seat and her four-year-old sister as the passenger from Utah, USA, were found crashing into a semi-truck, while neither of them was injured as they were both wearing seatbelts.
The girls planned to head to California (at least 800 miles far away from their living city) for a beach holiday, as they wanted to swim in the ocean with the dolphins. Therefore, the girls took the keys to the family car and slipped away through an unlocked door in the cellar when their parents were asleep.
According to Utah's West Valley City Police Department, there were no signs of ignoring or maltreating at the girls’ home. Nor does evidence show the parents know the girls’ plan of summer road trip to California. The parents were not accused.
