A drunk man joined a search party to look for a missing person before realizing the one being searched was himself. This is not a comedy; it’s a true story in Turkey.

A 50-year-old Turkish man Beyhan Mutlu went drinking with friends in a forest near the city of Inegol, northwest Turkey, on September 28th. His wife and friends reported him missing after he did not return home and had wandered away from his friend for several hours.

Local police, search and rescue teams, along with Mutlu’s friends and residents from the neighborhood, formed the search team quickly. However, Mutlu came across the search party and unaware they were looking for him, until the rescuers started calling out his name. 

It is unclear how Mutlu was not  aware of the fact that he was the individual being looked for, and it is also not clear how his friends did not recognize him in the search team.
