In the night on June 30, an explosion occurred at Sina Athar Medical Center, a clinic in northern Tehran of Iran, and a fire erupted afterward killing 19 including 15 women and 4 men and injured 14 others. The fire was reportedly extinguished after two hours.
At the time of the explosion, the medical clinic, which offered light surgeries and medical imaging services, had a staff of 25 employees inside. In addition, there were visitors and patients in the building.
In Tehran experts, fire department investigators, and police detectives, are looking into the main reason for the incident. A preliminary investigation revealed that possibly a gas leak and a faulty electrical wire were the causes of the blast incident.
