Canada federal government will launch a free system for automatic tax return. The system helps those who don’t file tax, such as low- and fixed- income Canadians, to collect their returns.

Currently, only the people who were behind on taxes need to file a tax return with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). However, those under government assistance won’t owe tax and seldom file for return. The system renovation is meant to benefit more taxpayers.

The system will be easier than before by discarding the red tape, and using the individual records CRA already collected. Meanwhile, there are 36 countries, including in both Asian and European countries, have a similar system to file the tax return for free.
