During the upcoming Florida's tax-free weekend, three days from August 3 to August 5 this year, there will be no state sales tax on specific items.

Families are getting ready to take advantage of the tax-free weekend and purchase those back-to-school items of no sales tax such as clothing, footwear and some accessories selling for $60 or less, and stationery and school supplies less than $15.

Similarly, the state of Texas has had so-called Sales Tax Holiday for back-to-school shoppers since 1999. It runs from August 10 through August 12 this year. However, items for exempts from sales tax are eligible apparel, backpack, footwear, and school supplies priced under $100.
