Labour of Uk plans to slap extra taxation on holiday homes by raising council tax on those who have a second home.
Though the project might raise £500 million, hundreds of thousands of families in Britain will be influenced by the radical plan, making them £3,0000 a year worse off. It is estimated that around 174,000 properties in such rural areas as South Lakeland, Cornwall and North Norfolk will be levied double.
The new plan would raise money for the homeless children and also distribute it across Britain to help those areas most in need. John Healy, Labour's shadow housing secretary, considered it a national shame that 120,000 children are still living in temporary accommodation.
