The Human Rights Commission in Kerala, India has issued a request to find out details of “stressful work conditions” for bank suicide cases.  It has ordered the State-Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) to investigate the issue.

The complaints reveal that banks aim for profits by reducing the number of branch employees. The remained workers still have to reach higher goals and finish additional work. As to the goals, they are requested to sell third-party products and other irrelevant ones.

Meanwhile, All India Bank Officers’ Association (AIBOC) has mentioned that staff shortage is one of the fatal issues for state-level banks. That may be the added reason that several bank suicide cases have been found these months.
