According to Newsweek on July 18, in a document written for the defense and security committee in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, 6 secret sites that store 150 American nukes have been revealed by accident.

The NATO report was a draft document entitled “A new era for nuclear deterrence? Modernisation, arms control and allied nuclear forces.” It was found out by the Belgian newspaper De Morgen that the document contained details about the secret nuke sites. The 150 American nukes have been stored at 6 European and US bases, including Incirlik in Turkey, Ghedi-Torre in Italy, Büchel in Germany, Volkel in The Netherlands, and Kleine Brogel in Belgium.

Since the Cold War, American nuclear weapons have been used in Europe to block the Soviet Union. However, after the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty was signed by US President Ronald Regan and Soviet Union General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev, thousands of nuclear warheads have been removed.
