On March 11th, a fire broke out at a clothing manufactory in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt, leading to more than 20 people dead and over 24 injured.
According to the official statement, 15 fire engines and firefighters managed to put out the four-story building fire, keeping it from spreading to plants in the neighborhood.
Although the reason for causing the fire is not yet known, safety standards and fire instructions in Egypt have yet to be improved. In recent years, disasters include a blaze in a shoe warehouse in Giza, the second-largest city in Egypt last month, and a huge fire took place near a busy Cairo highway, causing 17 people hurt in 2020.
