Several Palestinian business leaders and organizations had blamed the United States leading workshop and regarded it as an action of betrayal because this workshop was intended to support investments in the occupied Palestinian.

The United States arranges the meeting in Manama Bahrain on June 25 and 26. This meeting is to focus on the economic investment. However, last week, the White House stated that this meeting could be part of the US’s Middle East peace plan.

This meeting invites business, government, and civic leaders to have a discussion on the economic investment in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.

Jared Kushner, Senior White House adviser, is now leading the U.S. delegation in the Middle East, searching for the support for the Bahrain’s workshop. In this workshop, Kushner is going to disclose the initial stage of US President Donald Trump’s Israel-Palestinian peace plan.

Several Arab’s states will attend this conference including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Before attending this meeting in Bahrain, the minister of state for foreign affairs of UAE, Anwar Gargash, stated that dialogue with Israel is a positive thing but it does not mean that we completely agree with them politically.

Various business groups including the Palestinian-American Council and the Palestinian American Center gave a warning signal to the Arab states and also stated that Arab states would become the platform to assist United States to initiate the suspicious Trump’s agreement.

14 Palestinian American community organizations jointly released a statement to state that before the establishment of the independent Palestinian state, the conference would violate all resolutions made at Arab and Islamic summits, which dedicate to normalizing the tie between Arab and Israel. On May 28, the Palestinian business group announced that they jointly decided to turn down the invitation of this conference.
