World Citizenship Day, International Day of Conscience, and International Mother Earth Day are all important April holidays to help people awaken their hearts. The theme of World Citizenship Day is to teach people that humans are interconnected and that every action taken by a few affects others. The goal of the International Day of Conscience is to remind everyone to start with themselves, to follow their conscience, to do the right thing, and to prevent physical, gender, verbal, and spiritual abuse of others. International Mother Earth Day reminds everyone that the earth is our home, that all citizens of the world must live in harmony with nature, and that it is our responsibility to protect the earth and all of the animals that live on the planet.
"Two things fill the mind with ever-increasing wonder and awe, the more often and the more intensely the mind of thought is drawn to them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me," according to Emmanuel Kant's famous quote from Critique of Practical Reason. The program's hostess, Li-hsueh Tsai, stated that Emmanuel Kant's words fully echoed the spirit of the mentioned programs, and were also the inspiration for the "The Starry Heavens Above and the Conscience Within" series, which is desperately needed in today's world.
Dr. Lara Huang of Taiwan believed that the pandemic had a negative impact on people's mental health, social and economic well-being, racial and gender equality, and caused a humanitarian crisis. Many patients suffer from a sharp drop in income or unemployment as a result of the isolation policy, and they face enormous pressures in their lives, which can lead to the worsening of chronic diseases, anxiety or insomnia, and even hyperthyroidism. She maintains her physical strength and positive energy by practicing qigong and meditating every day, despite being under enormous pressure.

Dr. Huang stated that resolving the humanitarian crisis of patients must begin with awakening everyone's conscience and encouraging each other to face international and national crises with compassion, courage, and true wisdom, and actively seek peace, harmonious, and win-win solutions to benefit the planet and the world. She invites everyone to be silent for 30 seconds every day, to pray for peace for themselves and the world, and to use their conscience energy to ensure that everyone has equal health and human rights, and that diseases, natural and man-made disasters, and wars no longer exist!
Ms. Mayte Quiroz, Head of Educate2Envision, a small NGO Cooperative Operations, works on secondary education in rural impoverished communities of Honduras. Mayte Quiroz noticed that these students had to get up at three or four a.m. to go to the farm to pick coffee beans and help with household chores so that they could go to school or finish their homework, which made her feel grateful and practical.

"You don't know how lucky you are to be here, to go to college, to have a decent job, to have transportation or food," Mayte Quiroz said gratefully. She believes that no matter what happens to you, gratitude will make people see a different world. Everyone has the potential to be a good role model for the next generation.
