A 6.6 magnitude earthquake happened in southern Philippines, according to the Jakarta Post. A previous tremor caused at least 7 people dead and several buildings damaged.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology report, the epicenter of this quake was located in the south of Manila, Tulunan town in Cotabato province.
This earthquake caused various disasters in the south of Manila. The initial information came from the video and photos shared on the social media. Photos presented the destroyed school buildings in Tulunan and some injured students.
Mayor of Tulunan had an interview from Manila radio station DZMM to notify more aftershocks. Mr. Limbungan also requested to suspend the class and allowed engineers to check the security of the school building. Besides the damage of school building, Mr. Limbungan also reported that the city hall was completely collapsed.

The Philippines is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean has caused many earthquake and volcano eruptions.
Many quake records in Philippines. The most severe quake happened in July 1990. This 7.8 magnitude quake claimed at least 2,400 people in the northern island of Luzon.
