The World Economic Forum, also known as “Davos forum”, held its annual meeting from May 22 to 26, 2022 at Davos, Switzerland. This is the first physical meeting after a two year suspending due to pandemic. On their agenda, the world's richest people as well as political and economic figures discussed the economic impact of war, pandemic, recovery and climate change.

On the other hand, a few rich people took to the streets on March 22 to protest. They argued that the fastest way to solve the current economic crisis is to raise taxes on the richest. Unfortunately, this proposal was not supported at the meeting.

However, Oxfam International released this year's Inequality Report on the sidelines, as is customary. It is reported that the gap between the rich and the poor was reduced before the pandemic. But during the last two years of the epidemic, the situation has worsened.
