Secretary of State for Health of the United Kingdom, Matt Hancock, said that UK National Health Service (NHS) would have been written off 13.4 billion pounds’ debt for enhancing the system on April 2nd at the daily Downing Street coronavirus press conference. Mr. Hancock also announced that there would be 300 million pounds for funding the community pharmacies.
On the other hand, the health secretary also set the Government of the United Kingdom a new goal, which is about testing Covid-19 for 100,000 times per day at the end of April. He added that testing patients are the first priority. As for the staff of the National Health Service (NHS), he promised that they would be tested before the end of April.
Matt Hancock called on the people to stay at home to prevent the transmissions of the coronavirus. He said that keeps social distancing could stop spreading coronavirus as well. Only when the doctors have the confidence about the testing result would the sizable antibody testing of the Covid-19 be applied on the civilians, added by the health secretary.
