India faced the rapid soaring of confirmed COVID-19 cases. Oxygen is the most important to keep patients alive. Recently, different states of India had had some urgent issues concerned with health care systems in hospitals. This is not a positive situation for India right now.
During the pandemic, with the coming wave of infections patients, maintaining breath becomes the most urgent need for confirmed patients. Health care systems were struggling to cope with more and more confirmed cases. Then, several crises in India made the situation more severe.
Oxygen tank leak happened in a hospital at Nashika, a city in Maharashtra state of India. This accident lost 22 patients of COVID-19. The leaking caused by the technical dysfunction of valve of oxygen tank. The hospital at Nashika had more than 150 patients depending on the support of oxygen.
The accident in hospital with oxygen also happened in New Delhi. The warning of shortage of oxygen made it difficult to maintain patients alive. This terrible situation happened in other states of India. In the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, some hospitals gave a notice of oxygen being out of stock. Patients in the state city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, had to move patients to other hospitals.
India is confronted a devastating wave of infections. Modi government starts a “oxygen express” to deliver tankers whenever hospitals need them. Some factories are willing to increase capacity to produce more oxygen but need some financial aids at this critical moment to prevent any tragedies like this.
