US Wants to Talk with Iran Peacefully

Iran-US relation worsened again on June 13 when two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman were attacked and the US accused Iran of hatching the plot. Then last week a US drone was shot down by Tehran. The two leaders exchanged words of condemn and threat.

On June 23, U.S. President Donald Trump said they should talk peacefully for fear that the uncontrollable Gulf conflict would endanger the lives of his country’s troops. On the same day Mike Pompeo, U.S. Secretary of State, also said they were ready to negotiate Tehran without any preconditions. Tehran responded the next day that it was possible to discuss new concessions with Washington when new incentives were offered.

World powers are concerned about an accidental war between the US and Iran and the upcoming rise of oil price. If the ship passage between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula were to become dangerous, most countries around the world would be largely influenced.
