The World Health Organization (WHO) has called on governments to regulate against e-cigarette products because such products do not help smokers quit smoking and are also harmful to health. It should be strictly restricted by regulation.
Large tobacco companies have been actively marketing e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products in recent years. E-cigarettes are non-tobacco products containing nicotine. The difference is in the way of heating. Some kinds of E-cigarettes deliver nicotine as efficiently as real cigarettes, which might increase the potential for addiction among young people.
WHO believes that e-cigarettes will not only make smokers "healthy risks", but also prevent people from quitting smoking. E-cigarettes may become an addictive item for the new generation. According to the latest edition of the WHO report on global tobacco epidemic, in many countries where e-cigarettes are obtainable, smokers use e-cigarettes but still use traditional cigarettes at the same time. Therefore, e-cigarettes have not effectively helped smokers to quit smoking.
