Forest fires burned for weeks in the Darién province of Panama in April, requiring local authorities to seek help from national and international organizations.
Through the International Charter "Space and Major Disasters", the Canadian Space Agency provided four RADARSAT-2satellite images to help Panama evaluate the extent of the damage caused by the forest fires.
