Space Camp saw PSI scientists and educators tell area youngsters about what is going on in space exploration. The five-day event, held at Children's Museum Tucson, covered topics including the Sun and our Solar System, rocky planets, gas giants, and comets, asteroids and dwarf planets. The final day of Space Camp saw PSI educators and researchers offer the youngsters hands-on activities relating to the Solar System.

PSI's Lindsay Spencer, Sanlyn Buxner and David Crown participated. First, second and third graders from Safford K-8 Magnet school attended the event, which has been held three years. The event, a cooperative effort between PSI and CMT, is funded by a grant from NASA's Science Mission Directorate supplemental funding to a ROSES science grant.
