Controlled Release of Anticorrosive Materials in Spot by Nanocarriers

May 27th, 2015

Results of the research have applications in designing of bridges, towers, equipment used in petroleum and marine industries and automobile manufacturing industries.
The application of anticorrosive coatings, that are able to repair and recover their protective properties, has been extended in recent years and many researchers have carried out studies on these materials. Polymeric coatings are a group of these materials which are used to prevent corrosion in metals.
In case corrosion occurs on a surface, anticorrosive materials are related in a controlled manner from the nanocarrier and they recover the surface when the nanocarrier synthesized in this research is used. As a result, the corrosion problem can be easily overcome in the foundation of bridges, petroleum towers and metallic pieces of automobiles.
Encapsulate corrosion preventing agent has numerous advantages over the agent in free form. One of the advantages is that the complex used in the nanocarrier is very dense and it is expected to easily create cross-link with the polymeric coating. In addition, after the creation of the bond, the preventing agent is released from the nanocarrier and its effects will be conserved for a long time.
