Meteors radiating from the constellation the Small Dipper Dec. 22, 2016

CAMS video cameras recorded an rare outburst of meteors radiating from the constellation the Small Dipper late in the night of December 22, 2016. The shower was caused by Earth encountering the dust ejected by comet 8P/Tutle in A. D. 1076, reported Peter Jenniskens in an Electronic Telegram issued by the IAU Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams.
