Studies have found that albatross, known for being monogamous, may be forced to "divorce" due to climate change
The albatross, a very large seabird that lives mainly in the southern hemisphere, is known as the most reliable monogamous creature in the world. However, a study published on 11/24 by the Royal Society of New Zealand showed that increasing water temperature caused fewer fish, and albatross had to spend more time and fly farther to forage. The harsh environment also affects hormone levels, making it difficult for young birds to survive. It can be said that a warming environment may increase the breakup of albatross partners.
