SpaceX is preparing to launch the eighth flight of Starship on March 5. At first, Flight 8 attempted a launch on March 3. But Flight 8 was scrubbed due to booster issues at T-40 seconds.
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, wrote that there were too many unanswered questions regarding the flight and that we were 20 bar below ground spin start pressure. After being scrubbed from SpaceX's Starbase facilities in Boca Chica, Texas, Starship Flight 8 is scheduled to launch on March 5.
This will be the first Starship/Super Heavy mission since Flight 7's failure on January 16. Starship Flight 7 broke up in midair approximately eight and a half minutes after takeoff. Pieces remained dispersed throughout the Atlantic Ocean near the Caicos Islands.
