Pasadena, California – In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Pasadena hosted a health symposium on May 5, 2024, featuring CiCi Han, an architectural designer, Harvard graduate, and mother of two. During the event, she delved into her personal journey with Tai Ji Men Qigong and its profound transformative effects.

Overcoming Allergies: Qigong as Preventive Medicine

CiCi's story is one of resilience and discovery, beginning from her childhood struggles with allergies. Constantly battling a blocked nose, relentless sneezing episodes, and the discomfort of eczema, CiCi found even simple activities like wearing skirts challenging due to her sensitive skin. As a result, her self-confidence was undermined.

Traditional treatments failed to provide lasting relief until CiCi's mother suggested Tai Ji Men Qigong. At the age of 13, she began practicing it, and the results were remarkable. Her skin cleared up, and she no longer suffered from constant nasal congestion. By practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong, she built a protective shield against allergens, boosting her immunity and allowing her body to heal naturally.

Reflecting on her journey, CiCi emphasized the preventive nature of qigong, a lesson she learned early and applied throughout her life. Her experiences debunked the notion that qigong is only for the elderly, highlighting its relevance and benefits across all age groups.

Overcoming Arthritis

During an architectural internship in Japan, CiCi developed arthritis due to the intense physical demands of model-making, initially affecting her wrists and spreading to other joints. Upon returning to the US, she sought medical help and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She said, “The condition was exacerbated by my allergic predisposition. Had I not practiced Tai Ji Men Qigong, my condition might have worsened. After the diagnosis, I intensified my qigong practice, gradually stopping the painkillers. After a while, the pain disappeared. This experience has enhanced my confidence in Tai Ji Men Qigong.”

Obtaining Health, Wisdom and More at Tai Ji Men

CiCi's personal transformation extended beyond physical health. She spoke passionately about Tai Ji Men Qigong's role in fostering wisdom and emotional intelligence. She shared, “Despite graduating from Harvard with a master's degree, does a prestigious education guarantee lifelong success?” As she faced various challenges in life, she realized that possessing wisdom and emotional intelligence is more valuable than academic achievements alone.

“Over the years of practicing qigong under my shifu (grandmaster), Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, I have learned yin-yang wisdom, equipping me to handle life's challenges with wisdom and compassion. This wisdom is invaluable and that is why I introduced my children to Tai Ji Men Qigong from a young age,” she said.

Her sharing resonated deeply with the audience, underscoring the importance of a holistic approach to health and well-being. CiCi's journey exemplified how Tai Ji Men Qigong goes beyond physical benefits, enriching lives with wisdom, resilience, and compassion.

As CiCi concluded her inspiring talk, she invited attendees to explore the benefits of Tai Ji Men Qigong further, encouraging a dialogue on its transformative potential.
