PSI Senior Scientist Candice Hansen is author on a new coffee table book filled with breathtaking images of Mars. A reception and book signing were held at the University of Arizona Kuiper Building for Hansen and co-authors Alfred S. McEwen and Ari Espinosa.
“Mars: The Pristine Beauty of the Red Planet” is filled with images culled from thousands taken by the NASA’s High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment HiRISE instrument orbiting Mars. The large-format book features 452 full-color pages, a weight of 8 pounds and is 13.6 inches by 11.5 inches. The book sells for $75 and is available at UA Press at http://www.uapress.arizona.edu , Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
