According to Carnival Corporation (CCL), two of its cruise ships—the Carnival Glory and Carnival Legend—collided at the port of Cozumel, Mexico on the morning of December 20, causing damage to one ship and six confirmed injuries.

The trade publication Cruise Market Watch says Carnival Cruise Line is labelled as number one internationally.

Originally, just one injury was reported from a guest of Carnival Glory, which happened when a party was evacuated from the dining room on decks 3 and 4 of the ship. But the cruise line said six guests with minor injuries had "presented themselves for evaluation to the Carnival Glory Medical Center" since their preliminary review.

The event is identified as an allision between the two ships of CCL. An allision means that a moving ship dashes against a fixed object, like another ship.

After the crash, an on-board announcement said that the current and high winds caused the crash. Passengers of the cruise described that they just felt a jolt in the ship and were recommended to enjoy their day at Cozumel seashore.
